With the completion of development for the feature film and the successful launch of the apparel line the Black Salt comic book series is our second product to introduce the franchise to the world and to help establish the project as a bankable IP. The main demographic for the comic book series is male 14 to 40.

The Black Salt issue #1 and issue #2 also contain content from the feature film franchise. These two books are preview issues for the trade paperback entitled "Black Salt The Forbidden Past".

Black Salt is an action-packed thriller merging the dark world of modern-day espionage and political intrigue with the even darker world of the ancient, forbidden martial arts of the Shaolin Temple. Samuel Tharpe a top CIA agent accidentally kills the son of a powerful Chinese crime boss in an undercover sting operation to retrieve a deadly weapon that can wipe out any ethnic group off the face of the Earth. Kali Zhang vows vengeance on the one “responsible,” and sets out to recover his “stolen” property. In a simultaneous strike, carried out on Sam’s personal residence, and the CIA substation, Kali reacquires the weapon and Sam’s wife and daughter is killed. The story is adapted from the original screenplay by Owen Ratliff and Aries Carmona, creators and written by Chad Boudreau, artwork by J.C. Grande and colors by Santosh Kumar Rath.
